From a vacant lot to food and shopping with a view. That’s the plan for 500 Riverside Drive in downtown Salisbury. The 3 acres along the Wicomico River will be transformed into a mixed use center for people of all ages to enjoy. Fisher Architecture, hired to design the development, is giving it a “town center” feel, making it a destination that allows people to engage the riverfront.
Cactus Taverna owners and cousins, Imad Abu-Ahmadeh and Ike Esoud, purchased the property for $650,000 back in January. They plan to anchor the complex with a restaurant and include retail, dining and office space. Renderings have been released and construction will begin in 2018.
